When Are You Opening Hotel Dieu for Women Fauquier?

While we wish we could have the Hotel Dieu for Women Fauquier open immediately, things do not work quite that way. There are steps we need to follow, and we are constantly discovering more steps as we step forward in faith.
We thank everyone for their continued prayers in this process.

1. First we needed to purchase a home. This involved obtaining insurance and a mortgage, just as our home first. If you already own a home, you'll have passed this first hurdle.
2. Preparing the home for visitors, fundraising. and long term planning.This is where we will be after November. We are still in the midst of applying for our non-profit status from the government, and have been told it may take three months after that to receive our charitable status number. However, we would like to assure you that we are running as a non-profit, and will be posting all our finances publicly online for the whole world to see. Transparency is VERY important.The faster we can complete stage 2, the sooner we can move to stage 3.
3. Welcoming the Women and Children. After the furniture, bedding and other amenities are in place, and it has passed inspection, we will need to change our insurance before welcoming women and children.Then, we will begin welcoming women and children.
4. Equipping Women.Equipping each other to glorify God by becoming a blessing to our homes, our communities, our countries and the world through our God given talents. Hotel Dieu for Women- Hostel of God pour les Femmes programming will focus on women lifting each other up back on the path God has ordained for each of us. This will include: 

• Reflective Bible Study, 
• Praise and Worship, 
• Service to others, 
• Examining our gifts, 
• Helping each other realize how we can glorify God through our talents. 
• Life skills such as literacy, cooking, gardening, sewing and more may form part of this program of increasing our abilities to use our God-given talents effectively. 
• Helping women to establish themselves in communities through job search or entrepreneurial programs will also be part of the program.
